BEGINNINGS

Cortland Christian Academy opened in September 1980 with students in kindergarten through sixth grade. More than a decade earlier, Bible Baptist Church began preparing to fulfill this vision by remodeling its auditorium and constructing an educational building.

Following its inaugural year, the school added one grade level each year until its first senior class graduated in 1987.

GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT

• Joined ESCAL Athletic Conference in 1985.
• Completed the gymnasium/fellowship hall in 1989.
• Joined the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in 1992
• Piloted satellite-based, distance-learning educational programming through Bob Jones University (BJ LINC) in 1995.
• Added Pre-School program in 2007. 
• High School Dinner Theater started in 2007. 
• Introduced a comprehensive music education program with a full-time teacher in 2010.
• Constructed playground set for elementary classes in 2012.
• Joined NYPENN Athletic Conference in 2017. 
• New gym scoreboard and sound system 2024. 
• Continual updates to classrooms.
