Cortland Christian Academy

Athletics provide a valuable opportunity for young people to develop teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Sports also serve as a microcosm of life, placing students in a structured environment where they can learn to respond appropriately, demonstrate self-control, and grow in character.

At Cortland Christian Academy, students are taught the skills and rules necessary to compete successfully in each sport. More importantly, they are encouraged to honor God through their attitudes, efforts, and actions. As 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us: “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Our goal is to help students prepare, compete, and represent their school in a manner that brings honor and glory to God.

Students in grades 6–12 have the opportunity to participate in boys' and girls' soccer during the fall season. Soccer practices typically begin two weeks before the start of the school year.

During the winter season, CCA offers Junior varsity boys' and girls' basketball for students in grades 6–9 and Varsity boys' and girls' basketball for students in grades 9–12. Basketball practices begin in November, approximately one week after the soccer season concludes, and continue through the first week of March.

Cortland Christian Academy is a member of the NYPENN Christian Athletic Conference for both soccer and basketball. The conference brings together Christian schools to compete for championships while emphasizing sportsmanship, character development, and Christian values.
