Theatre is offered as a for-credit course during the school day, providing students with structured instruction in expression, emotional interpretation, articulation, and stage presence. Following the selection of a production, rehearsals are held after school to further develop performance skills and prepare students for the annual spring presentation.

Students who are not cast in performing roles are encouraged to participate in essential production areas, including lighting, costumes, technology, marketing, and social media. Recent productions have included Robin Hood, Murder on the 518, and Anne of Green Gables. 

The program also maintains a collaborative relationship with Cortland Repertory Theatre, which supports student learning through training opportunities and costume resources. Through this partnership, students are eligible for the Cortland Repertory Theatre Pavilion Awards that recognize excellence in local high school theatre and celebrate student actors, crews, and productions across Cortland County and the surrounding region.
